Proverbs 15:18-33
Reflect
Do you ever get stuck in your own head? Either you have these great ideas, and you keep thinking about them and they get bigger and better as you keep thinking about them. Or maybe you get down on yourself and you can’t seem to shake the self-doubt.
In today’s passage, I am reminded of the wisdom of having mentors, people in my life who can help me right-size my thoughts and ideas.
“Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed.” (v22) “He who listens to a life-giving rebuke will be at home among the wise.” (v31)
As you ponder these verses, who do you have in your life that you would consider an advisor? Who is someone that you know will tell you the truth and you are willing to hear the truth, even if it stings to hear?
We all need people in our lives to help us walk the path God has for us. If you have someone that does this for you, thank them today. If you don’t, ask God to show you who you should ask to be a mentor/advisor in your life.

Pray for North American Baptist Conference
Our desire is to transform communities – shaping leaders, sending missionaries, and equipping disciples as signs, servants, and foretastes of the Kingdom of God in North America and around the world. A crucial aspect of this are the NAB’s Four End Goals, objectives we believe God wants us to strive toward. They are: NAB churches will be trained for missional and formational ministries; NAB churches will seek opportunities to engage cross-culturally; NAB churches will develop spiritual leaders; NAB churches will send and support international missionaries. Join us in praying for the exciting things we anticipate God will be doing in and through our ministry in the next year.
