Starting soon, for those who would like to sing in an ensemble setting: Easter choir rehearsals! Meet at the church Sunday evenings March 8, 15, 22, and 29. We will perform in both services on Easter Sunday. For more information, contact Annette Martens.

MARCH 16, WOMEN: LADIES WHO LIFT (Multipurpose Room), 7-8pm
This 1-hour class is scheduled for 6 weeks, Monday evenings at 7pm: MAR 16, 23, APR 6, 13, 20, 27, in the multipurpose room downstairs. (Note: there is no class on Monday, March 30.)
MAR 20, RT 56: GIRLS & GUYS NIGHT(Up/Downstairs), 7-9pm
Rt. 56 Girls & Guys Night is almost here — and it’s gonna be a blast! Both nights are happening at McKernan Baptist Church from 7–9pm, with the guys and girls doing their own thing. The boys are taking over the big screen for video games, competition, and nonstop snacks, while the girls are settling in for a chill movie night with nails and all the pampering vibes. It’s totally free — just make sure you register! And yes, friends are 100% welcome! Please register online.

I’ve been involved in global missions since 2005 and currently serve as the Global Children’s Ministry Training Director. I’m passionate about equipping children’s ministry leaders around the world to reach, disciple, and empower the next generation. My work has taken me to 33 countries over the past 20 years, training children’s ministry leaders and advocating for the importance of investing spiritually in children.
In addition to working with children’s leaders at the grassroots level, I serve on the global leadership team of the GCF Leadership Experience, a one-year life-changing leadership development program for emerging children’s ministry leaders around the world.
In 2025 I accepted a new role as ACTION: International Coordinator of Children in Crisis Ministries where I network with and encourage field workers working with vulnerable children, advocate on their behalf, and help raise funds for this critical ministry.

- For 20 fruitful years of mission work and the opportunities to celebrate with friends, family and donors this past month
- For a powerful time of teaching at Wycliffe College, Toronto, on the topics of the impact of war and trauma on children
Prayer Requests:
- For the teams planning regional Leadership Experiences in West Africa and Europe: for wisdom, provision of funds, creative solutions to roadblocks and unity. Pray for me to mentor them well
- For an outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Prairie College's Global Connection Conference on March 17-18. I am one of the plenary speakers
- That the many details for my Africa trip (Ethiopia, South Africa and Zambia) in May-June will come together soon
- For continued discernment as I consider ministry opportunities for 2026.
