Preparation for Sunday, April 16

Romans 12:3-8; Psalm 139:13-14

We are currently exploring a number of “practices” that give shape to what it means to be in right relationship with God, with one another and with our neighbour. Today we will look at the practice of “Kingdom Participation.” While there are a number of different dimensions to this practice, we’ll begin this week by looking at how God has uniquely designed each of us to contribute to the effective service of His people to one another and to the people around us both locally and globally. While serving can sometimes be pictured as an onerous task to endure, we’ll see that it actually involves an invitation from God to participate in His mission in the world in a way that is consistent with the passion, personality, skills and gifts He has given us.
