Exodus 3:1-10

Reflect

One of the character traits of God is that He is omnipresent, meaning that God is everywhere. David, in Psalm 139, acknowledges this truth in stating there is nowhere he can go that God is not already there. In Scripture we see that there are times when God makes His presence known through a theophany, which is a manifestation that is discernable to our human senses. In today’s passage God gets Moses’ attention through the burning bush and sends Moses on a mission to rescue God’s people from Egyptian oppression.

While you and I may not have an encounter with God through a burning bush, we can encounter God in many ways that He reveals Himself to us. The primary way we encounter God where He speaks and reveals Himself to us, is through Scripture. Through Scripture, specifically in Psalms and Romans, we are reminded that creation itself testifies of God. God does not hide Himself from us. God is communicating to us about Himself and His love for each one of us.

How are you listening to the voice of God? What is it that He is saying to you today?

Missionary of the Week – Daunavan Buyer (Resurgence Initiative)

Resurgence exists to revive churches (through partnerships, unity gatherings, city-wide prayer initiatives, itinerant speaking and equipping), reach people (through regular outreaches, partnering with missions organizations, mission trips across Canada including trips to the Canadian North and other First Nations reserves) and release leaders (help people see and know the calling God has on their lives so they can thrive in their churches and places of work). We seek to do this in a way that is kingdom-minded, whole, spirit-led, relational, and fruitful.
