Psalm 130

Reflect

“O Lord, hear my voice, let your ears be attentive to my cry for mercy.” (v2)

It’s not hard to remember being in a place where this was my own plea. You probably know people for whom it is their current request of the Lord.

Whether this is your own cry or one of a close friend or loved one, I trust you can also believe as the author did that the Lord is where hope needs to reside.

“O Israel (oh people of McKernan), put your hope in the Lord, for with the Lord is unfailing love..” (v7)

Pray for Aaron Albu – Athletes in Action
Aaron currently serves as the campus director for MacEwan University with Athletes In Action. He leads a weekly meeting with their student athletes throughout the academic year and provides chaplaincy services to a few of their sports teams. He is also working as a sports chaplain and coach with The King’s University, specifically with the men’s soccer team. This summer, Aaron has been serving as a chaplain with the Edmonton Huskies of the CJFL and is also creating a new partnership to serve the Edmonton Stingers basketball team. He is also assisting Brent Kassian as a junior chaplain in training with the Edmonton Elks.
Right now, Aaron would love prayer for the new(ish) student ministry at MacEwan as he prepares for the fall, and for God to open doors with his chaplaincy work in the amateur and professional sports world in Edmonton.
Aaron and his wife Megan love hosting students, athletes, and young adults at their home in Edmonton.
