Galatians 3:15-25

Reflect
How many of you have a will or have been named an executor of an estate? If you have a will or have been an executor, you know that the wishes in the will need to be kept. Laws on the other hand can and often are changed. Did you know it used to be illegal to have a purple garage door in Kanata, Ontario?

Paul is reminding the Galatians that the covenant promise God made to Abraham and Abraham’s response to the covenant is what is important to remember. We are saved by faith. Faith that God will honour His covenant with us, not by our efforts to obey the law.

When you think about your relationship with God, are you looking at this relationship through the lens of what you must do to stay in the relationship or through the lens of living in the promise of the covenantal relationship God has with us?
