Ephesians 2:1-5
Reflect
You never have to wonder what Paul is really thinking. He just comes right out and tells us how it is(was).
Verses 1-3 gives us a bleak view of life, especially a life that is following the ways of the world, which we have all been guilty of at one point or another in our life.
And then we come to verse 4 and the big “BUT” that makes all the difference in our lives. “But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy…” (v4). God’s great love for us means we don’t have to live in the reality of verses 1-3.
If you have accepted the grace God has extended to you through Jesus and have asked Jesus to be your Lord and Saviour, you can experience a life that is alive with Christ. Take some time today to reflect on the gracious gift God has extended to you and thank God for it.
