Reflect
Have you ever looked at someone and thought they were not important enough to help? Or maybe you dismissed what they were saying because you didn’t think they could possibly have anything valid to say.
The disciples treat the young children in this way. In Jesus’ day, children had an insignificant societal status and the disciples saw them as taking Jesus away from more important matters. But Jesus stops them and once again says the way of Jesus is not the way of the world.
Children, having not hardened their hearts due to life’s hurts, are quick to trust the message of hope and salvation found in the gospel. So just like children, we need to be willing to be weak, defenseless, and vulnerable to place our trust and dependence on God.
Jesus sees you as significant and worth having died for. May you see yourself today through the lens that Jesus sees you through and know that you are important to Him.

Pray for Camp Caroline
Every summer, hundreds of campers visit camp and experience Jesus in a life-transforming way!
Each morning campers and counselors gather together to sing songs of praise, and camp speakers will invite them to open their Bibles to be reminded they have been made for more by God. Throughout the rest of the day, counselors lead campers on adventures all around camp for an incredible summer experience!
Please pray for spiritual impact from counselors and campers spending their days together. Knowing how profoundly a faith relationship with Jesus affects our lives, we pray that every camper and every counselor will take either a first step or a next step toward him.
