Preparation for Sunday, April 21

Matthew 10:19

Today we will be continuing our series “Dwelling in Jesus” and the sub-series, which has us transforming through the careful questions that Jesus asks.

Weaving our Holy Scriptures together are a seemingly endless number of verses that provide opportunity for us to behold that God loves every detail of His creation. Take a few minutes to be captivated by: Genesis 1, 2:15; Ps.24:1-12; Dan.3:56-82; Rom.1:19-20; and Col.1:15-20.

As those that are loved by our Creator and follow Jesus, we are to embrace and steward care for God’s creation, even while we testify that we worship only the Creator. As we observe the beauty of creation, we have the opportunity to be drawn to the One that has created this all.

Equally stunning is that fact that our Creator God loves and trusts us so much that He entrusted to each of us the immense responsibility to care for what He carefully created and called “very good”.

As we lovingly obey Him, creation benefits. That includes fields and streams as well as those people we journey alongside of. Exploitation of the earth always results in the poor being even more devastated.
