1 Peter 2:13-25
Reflect
The heading in my Bible at the start of this Scripture our passage is in says “Live as Servants of God”. Another translation has the heading as “Living Godly Lives in a Pagan Society”. Both headings speak to the fact that we do not live alone or in isolation, but in community with others.
As followers of Jesus, we can sometimes get caught up in the thought that we do not belong to this world--and we don’t. But we can’t lose sight of the truth that while we don’t belong to the world, we still live in it and the way we interact with the world, with the governing authorities, with people who are different than us politically, racially, economically, gives people insight into who this Jesus is that we say we believe in and follow.
I have heard it said that my actions speak louder than my words. May our actions today (and our words) reflect the truth that we are followers of Jesus.

Pray for Paul Tan - Navigators
Paul is serving with the Navigators of Canada as campus leader at the University of Alberta and Edmonton’s City leader, supervising the other Navigator staff in Edmonton. Guided by 2 Timothy 2:2, the Navigators of Canada come alongside people who desire a deeper connection with God by offering a transformative and holistic mentoring relationship. The Navigators dive deep in the life-giving Word and equip Christ-followers to disciple others, sharing their faith and helping others to know Jesus. Through conversation about life and God, Paul invites people to read one of the Gospels together and discover Jesus afresh. He walks alongside those who are coming to understand they are ambassadors of Jesus Christ, teaching them how to study and obey the Scriptures and coaching them how to journey with friends who don’t yet know Jesus.
