Preparation for Sunday, June 23

Philippians 1:9-11

Have you ever felt stuck in your prayer life, unsure of how to pray for yourselves and others?  Thankfully, there is help for us when we turn to God’s Word.

This morning, as Pastor Lyle continues a summer series of messages through the book of Philippians, we come to a passage that contains Paul’s prayer for the people in the church at Philippi.  While his prayer is for a certain group of people in a certain time and place, these requests for growth in love, discernment and fruitfulness have a sense of timelessness about them.  They remain as relevant today as they were almost two thousand years ago.

Apply

  • Take the time to insert your own name into Paul’s prayer and pray his requests for yourself. As other people come to mind, pray this prayer for them as well.

Pray

  • Pray that those who attend our service today will have a meaningful encounter with God.
  • Pray for our Children’s Ministry Pastor, Jerilyn Bayer and the Children’s Ministry Associate, Annette Faszer.
  • Pray for the Children’s Ministry Assistants Abigail, Adelynn, Blythe, Clarissa, Domina, Sunita and Sylvie.
