2 Peter 3:1-10

Reflect

Pastor Sam Nikkel shared a story several years ago related to the number of small course corrections a rocket needs to make from the time it leaves the launch pad until it reaches its destination. A small thing doesn’t seem to be a big deal until you allow it to play out over a distance or a span of time.

Peter is writing to the faithful Christians encouraging them to remember the words spoken to them.
To go back to the source and not rely on someone else’s interpretation of the truth or believe what the false teachers are preaching.

The world would want us to take on a worldview that is not truly biblical and align with God’s truth. It won’t be something big and obvious, but something subtle that if believed will draw us away from God.

Let us take Peter’s advice and go back to the Bible to know for sure what God is calling us to believe about who He is, and what kind of life we are called to live.
