Devotional Guide for Saturday, September 10

Acts 3:1-10

Reflect

Today we are looking at a story about a man who was healed. We are told that he was crippled from birth. We are also told that every day he was put in front of a temple gate to beg from those going into the temple. On this particular day, the man receives much more than he asks for. He is healed by God!  We see evidence of his healing when he jumps to his feet and walks.

My favourite part of this story is what the man does afterwards. He goes with Peter and John into the temple courts. And he goes with them walking, jumping, and praising God! People recognize him and are amazed at what they are seeing. He is a witness to others about what God has done. In the next chapter we see Peter explaining to the witnesses that he was healed because of Jesus.

There are things in our lives that God has done. Things that only He could have done. And we can bear witness to these things. We can tell the people around us what He has done.
