Acts 25:1-12
Reflect
Sometimes when we live our lives for the kingdom of God, there may be people that will come against us and try to have us discredited.
Hopefully it will never be as serious for us as it was for Paul, who had a group of people preparing to ambush and kill him. But it might be more subtle in our lives, things like coworkers of friends ostracizing us because of our faith, or someone spreading rumours about us.
But Paul is able to stand by his actions, and prove that he hasn’t done anything wrong. It might not win him over to the people who are against him, but at least he can stand on his character and is willing to face the consequences that come his way. Ultimately, the one who he is accountable to is God, and what others think doesn’t matter.

As you go through your day today, take some time to think about who you are serving in the way that you act. Are your actions to please those around you, or do your actions first follow the calling that God has on your life?
