John 7:45-52
Reflect
I’ve always been struck by the stubborn nature of the Pharisees. On the one hand, this stubborn nature helped them stay obedient to the “laws” they believed were so important. Yet this same stubbornness blinded them to seeing something so important as the fulfillments of Scripture in the person of Jesus.
As I reflect on today’s passage, I am tempted to dismiss the Pharisees and say I would never be like them. I would never miss who Jesus really is and what it really means to follow Jesus. Or would I?
Today, I pray we would be people who are not too stubborn or arrogant to miss the truth of who Jesus is and the message Jesus is wanting us to hear and follow.

Pray for Harry and Myrna Lynn Lindenberg – Desert Streams
Desert Streams Healing Ministries was established in Edmonton in 2005. The primary services we provide are: personal ministry appointments, two healing retreats per year, our LiFE Light School (an introduction to healing ministry), and our LiFE School of Healing and Discipleship (a longer, more comprehensive and in-depth school). We currently have four staff members, and a volunteer ministry team of approximately thirty people. Myrna Lynn and I serve as the directors of Desert Streams. We have four adult children whom we love and enjoy!
We are very thankful for our longstanding partnership with McKernan Baptist Church!
Please pray that God would continue to give us much grace, guidance and growth for 2023 as we work with Him to “Help people come to Life!”
