Colossians 1:1-8
Reflect
What would you like to be known for? When someone mentions your name, what do you hope they would say about you?
As Paul opens this letter to the believers in Colosse, he mentions he has heard of their faith in Christ Jesus and of the love they have for all the saints. Paul hasn’t met all these people personally, but the word being spoken about them as a group says they are living a life fully following Jesus.
Not that we should live our lives so concerned with what others think of us. We should live our lives focused on what Jesus thinks of us and our relationship with Him. But how powerful would it be if what people knew most about you, or what first comes to their mind when they think of you, is your faith in Jesus and your love for others. I pray this is or will be a reality for you and for us as a church.

Pray for New Dawn Initiative (NAB)
Working in an isolated and impoverished area of Taraba State, Nigeria, “NDI” exists to better the lives of its neighbours by all means possible. This NGO was established by our Least Reached People Group (LRPG) partners in 2016, and since then has racked up an impressive series of achievements. Their primary aim is to enlighten their neighbours through workshops and seminars, dealing with such things as beekeeping, animal husbandry, best farming methods. This will ease the transition for nomadic people who follow the cows to become a more sedentary, farming population.
NDI also works hard to instruct their people about the need for education for their children, and to bring clean water to their neighbours. All this work is designed to be a bridge between our LRPG partners and their neighbours.
