Galatians 6:1-10
This morning Pastor Nathanael will be continuing our series on the book of Galatians.
In our contemplative age, everyone seems to be genuinely interested in spirituality, and everyone has a different idea of what that looks like. We live in a mosaic of pluralism, and we struggle to remain distinct. But grace changes a person in such a powerful way that we are different because we live our lives in the Spirit. Spirituality no longer looks like something you’re trying to manufacture on an individual quest, but it is a by-product of a grace saturated faith.
We have been freed from the power and penalty of sin; we have been freed from thinking that we need to earn God’s affection; we have been freed from thinking that one must do more in order to be saved. We are no longer bound to these distractions and falsehoods. Instead, we are now free to live in the Spirit--not as a private experience, but a shared one.
Sharing a life in the Spirit with others can involve uncomfortable scenarios. In what ways have you showed correction and restoration as a way of love to someone in your community who has struggled or fallen into sin?
What was their response?
