John 2:1-11
This morning, Pastor Lyle continues a series of sermons around the theme “Dwelling in Christ,” in which we are exploring a number of the questions Jesus asked His followers. On this Mother’s Day, we focus on a question Jesus asked His mother, “Why do you involve me?” (v4) This question is part of John’s account of the miracle of Jesus turning water into wine. The miracle was meant to act as a sign (v11) revealing the nature of God’s identity and foreshadowing the trajectory of His ministry toward the cross. We’ll develop these themes more fully in today’s message.
