Preparation for Sunday, June 9

Romans 5:1-13

This morning, Sasha Lushchyk will bring a message from this passage. Verses 6-8 present a powerful description of God’s love for us. We may sometimes think that we need to do the right things to earn God’s love. This can leave us feeling quite hopeless and unlovable amid our failures. These verses, however, affirm that God’s love was demonstrated most fully, through Christ’s sacrificial death on the cross while we were still sinners. Truly, He loves us at our worst and this was proven when He sent Christ to die to save us from our sin (v 9), restore our relationship with Him (v11) and give us real hope (v 5).
